Run for the Bottoms October 24th + Frozen Bottoms Run February 6th

Join us this fall for Run for the Bottoms Saturday, October 24th and the bonus Frozen Bottoms Run February 6th!

The Valley View property was affectionately nicknamed “the bottoms” many years ago. In 2004, we created the Run for the Bottoms to help raise money to preserve the property and we decided to reintroduce the race in 2018. This year, with a new course layout you can choose the 5K or single loop 10K through forest, field, and farm in October and run the 5K in February.  This race will have unofficial timing and staggered start times to better provide a safe and responsible race environment in the era of Covid.  A great way to support Valley View and explore the trails with family and friends!

Race day sponsors include Roads Rivers and Trails Adventure Outfitter, Altra Running and Tri-State Running Company. Run, walk, or crawl to have a chance to win! We will draw at random bib numbers for the winners of great giveaways like free trail running shoes or gift cards to your favorite stores. No need to be there to claim your prize, we will announce winners post race via email and your prize can be picked up at RRT or Tri-State Running.

Run For the Bottoms start times: 10:00am for the 10k and 10:30am for the 5k

Frozen Bottoms Run start time: 12pm

We will stagger runners with no more than 10 runners departing every 5 minutes. If you have any special requests for your start time please include those in the comments during registration and we will do our best to accommodate. This may included start times with other registered runners or early/late start times to allow for greater distancing between runners.

Due to Covid-19, production time has been extended.  Hats will be available for in-store pick up at RRT after December 1st or given to runners February 6th at the Frozen Bottoms Run.
